Welcome to NotizAI. This Privacy Policy explains how NotizAI ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the NotizAI mobile application (the "App"). We believe that restrained, honest data practices build trust. We collect only what we need to deliver the service, and we commit to never using your content for any purpose beyond that.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the minimum information necessary to provide a reliable learning experience:
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- • Email address
- • Display name (optional)
- • Avatar or profile photo (optional)
2.2 Content You Upload
NotizAI processes the learning materials you provide. This includes:
- • Voice recordings and audio files you record or upload
- • Images and photos (for OCR text extraction)
- • PDF documents you import
- • Web page URLs and video links (YouTube, Bilibili, etc.) you share
- • Text notes you type directly in the app
- • AI-generated outputs (summaries, flashcards, quizzes, mind maps, podcasts) derived from your content
2.3 How We Use Your Content
Your uploaded content is processed solely to provide the NotizAI service to you — including transcription, summarization, flashcard generation, quiz creation, mind map visualization, and podcast generation. We will NEVER use your content to train AI models, for analytics or advertising profiling, for marketing communications, or share it with third parties for any purpose other than processing it to deliver the service to you. You retain full ownership of everything you upload. We claim no license to your content.
2.4 Usage Data
We collect limited technical data to maintain and improve the app:
- • App feature usage statistics (aggregated, not linked to your content)
- • Device type and operating system version
- • Crash reports and error logs
- • Subscription status and purchase history
2.5 Analytics and Attribution
We use AppsFlyer for app installation attribution and analytics. This involves:
- • Device identifier and advertising identifier (for attribution only)
- • Install source and campaign data
- • You can opt out of advertising identifier tracking in your device settings
3. Third-Party AI Processing
To deliver AI features (transcription, summarization, flashcard generation, quizzes, mind maps, podcast generation), your content is sent to third-party AI processing services via encrypted API calls. These services process your content in real time to return results to you. We select partners whose terms prohibit using API-submitted data for model training. Your content is not stored by these services beyond the duration needed to process your request.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your notes, summaries, flashcards, and other learning materials are stored on secure cloud infrastructure (e.g., Amazon Web Services). We apply industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards including encryption at rest and in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your content for as long as your account is active. When you delete individual notes, they are removed immediately. When you delete your account, all personal information, content, and associated data will be permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days. Payment records may be retained as required by applicable law. To delete your account, go to Settings → Profile → Delete Account in the app, or email support@notizai.com with your registered email address.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- • Access the personal information we hold about you
- • Correct inaccurate information
- • Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- • Object to or restrict certain processing
- • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
- • Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)
7. Children's Privacy
NotizAI is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are between 13 and 18, you may use the App only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at support@notizai.com and we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through in-app notification or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We will always keep previous versions available upon request.
